So far this month
has been going well, I have realized that I will be back
home in a little over two months and that scares me, I
really don't want to leave Denmark and wish I could stay
longer. The weather here is quite bad and it is still very
very cold. I have never been this cold in my
life...ever. I keep waiting for the sun to come out, but it
never does. So needless to say it is quite different
from Arizona.
I have been on a class trip to Dublin since the
beginning of the month. My trip was a lot of
fun, I had never been there before and was excited to go since
many of my ancestors are from Ireland. One of
the best aspects of Dublin was all the American
restaurants and products for sale. Denmark lacks many American
establishments, such as Subway and Starbucks, and my Danish classmates found it quite
funny that I was willing to run across busy roads in Dublin to get to a Starbucks. Denmark also lacks
Oreos, so when I found a
package in a supermarket I was quite happy, I bought some for
my exchange students friends in Denmark, but unfortunately for them I got hungry and now all that is
left are the wrappers.
This coming
week is spring break and I will be taking a big trip to visit
all my exchange student friends in Denmark one last time. I am
looking forward to this trip, but at the same time know it will be
very sad, because it will be the last time I see some of the other
exchange students.

Katy Roe reports
that things continue to go well in Denmark. She has just
been informed that she will be moving quite soon to a new host
family. She feels it will be both scary and yet
exciting. Time continues to pass very quickly and it
is hard to believe that she is about to move to her last host
family and that she only has about four and a half months until she
comes home. For the past couple of weekends many of her
exchange student friends from all over the Denmark have been coming
to visit her so it has been a hectic, but extremely fun time.
Her Danish language school classes have continued, though they
will end in a few weeks. She now can understand most of
what people say in Danish. The new exchange students from the
southern hemisphere have arrived and she now has a Rotary exchange student from Australia
living in her city, Roskilde. The
two are getting along really well and she has been showing him
around.

Katy Roe, center, is spending her
Junior year (Desert Mountain High School) in Denmark. Recently
she visited Tivoli in Copenhagen with some of her exchange
friends from Colorado, Thailand, Montana
and Brazil.
