FUNDS
- THE ENDOWM
ENT/PERMANENT FUND: This
fund is designed to perpetually preserve and sustain the programs and
projects of the Rotary Club of Scottsdale
and the Scottsdale Rotary Club Foundation. Additionally,
this fund pays for the traditional
Educational Scholarships annually
awarded by the Scottsdale Rotary Club Foundation. Only the
interest and realized gains on original contributions
are utilized. Are you

- THE ROTATING FUND:
Contributions, such as Happy Bucks and Fines are utilized
in the second fiscal year following receipt. This mechanism was
designed to sustain giving levels for subsequent
budgets.
- THE SPECIAL PROJECTS FUND:
Donations, such as Unrestricted Pledges, In-Kind, Crisis
Contributions and calls to support specific Board authorized projects are
distributable upon receipt.
RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF
FUNDS
RESTRICTED DONATIONS/CONTRIBUTIONS:
Donations must be $100 or more and may only be restricted to
Board approved Giving Categories designated by the
donor.
UNRESTRICTED
DONATIONS/CONTRIBUTIONS: These funds are used at the
discretion of the Board.
FUND
MANAGEMENT
ASSET MANAGEMENT: CASH is deposited
in FDIC insured, interest bearing accounts and certificates of
deposit; STOCKS AND BONDS are managed by Board authorized and qualified
brokers; OTHER ASSETS, such as real estate and life
insurance, are managed by qualified professionals approved by the
Board.
ASSETS RECEIVED: Members and other
donors may contribute cash, securities, real estate and other assets
to the Foundation; however, the Foundation Board
of Directors shall have the right, in its
discretion, to refuse to accept (1) any asset contributed except
cash; and/or (2) any restricted gift. |
