 CLUB SERVICE DIRECTOR: Mike Casey

THE 5th AVENUE CLUB: Kari Baker, Chair - "The 5th Avenue of Rotary service is friendship!" This committee holds monthly social events for Rotarians and their guests. Our purpose is to foster strong personal bonds through fellowship and create a casual environment through which potential new members can meet Rotarians and learn more about The Rotary Club of Scottsdale.

THE AMBASSADORS: Randy Olson - This club committee contributes enormously to the health and well-being of Club members and their families. The Ambassadors visit Scottsdale Rotarians and their immediate family members at home or in the hospital in the event that they become ill. The Ambassadors also attend funerals of Scottsdale Rotarians and their spouses in order to provide comfort and support.

ATTENDANCE: James Ellis, Chair - This committee performs the weekly function of accounting for attendance at regular club meetings.

BANNERS: The Banner Committee provides guidance and support as it relates to the purchase and production of the materials necessary to supply our members with our world famous club banner, as well as develop methods for displaying banners received from visiting Rotarians from around the world.

BLUE BADGE: Victoria Welch, Chair - This committee performs the invaluable function of assimilating new members into the club by providing opportunities for service that allows new members to be seen by the general membership and become familiar with the club's overall operation. Each new member is required to perform an enjoyable list of duties in order to convert their new member "red badge" to a "blue badge."

BULLETIN (THE SUNSPOT): Mike Savastio, Editor - Each and every week, the bulletin committee provides interesting, entertaining and timely information concerning the operations, events, programs and projects of the club. "THE SUNSPOT"

By-Laws: Scott Snyder, Chair - This committee works to update the By-laws in order to conform with the policies and practices of the club and Rotary International.  

CLASSIFICATION: Mike Casey, Chair - As Rotary International is service organization who's membership is based on the induction of people from a cross-section of occupations, this committee functions to assign each new member a classification based upon the individual's profession. .

FELLOWSHIP: Karri Baker, Chair - One of the greatest benefits of membership in the Rotary Club of Scottsdale is the opportunity for fellowship. This committee organizes events and other opportunities for members to socialize, including Paul Harris Day

GOLF TOURNAMENT: Alan Elkins & Kent Hammond, Co-Chairmen - Our annual Golf Tournament provides the opportunity for a day of fun and fellowship on the links of some of the Valleys notable golf courses. This event also serves as a fundraiser for club's and foundation's many programs and projects.

GREETERS: Jay Franz, Chair - Each and every week, upon entering the club meeting, you will be welcomed and assisted by members of this committee. Scottsdale Rotary is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere and the Greeters are the first line of this proud tradition.

INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Vickey Morris, Chair - Scottsdale Rotary enjoys a tremendous number of visitors from around the world. Each week, visiting Rotarians and guests are asked to stand and be welcomed by the membership.

 INVOCATION & PLEDGE: Jerry Schwallier, Chair - To begin every meeting, Scottsdale Rotarians are asked to perform an invocation and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: David MacIntyre & Craig Miller, Co-Chairs - One of the most important components of maintaining a strong and vibrant club is the induction of new members. This committee focuses on strategies and methods of bringing in qualified candidates for membership. LINK TO MEMBERSHIP

PHOTOGRAPHER: Dick Johnson, Club Photographer - Scottsdale Rotary has many events, activities and notable speakers throughout the course of the year The club photographer serves to capture those moments for posterity, as well as for publication in our weekly bulletin and for use in the club's public relations efforts. PROGRAMS: HOLIDAY PARTY: Joe Hegstead, Chair - Every year, just before the holiday season, Scottsdale Rotary holds it's annual Family Holiday Party for Rotarians, their spouses, partners , children, grandchildren, friends and other family members. All visiting Rotarians and their family are also welcome to attend this spectacular event.

PROGRAMS: MILITARY: Jim Siket, Chair -  At least once per year, the members of the the Rotary Club of Scottsdale honor and pay homage to the men and women of our armed forces through programs that focus on the valiant soldiers who protect the freedoms of the United States and its citizenry.

PROGRAMS: ST. PATRICK'S DAY:  Every year it has been the tradition of the Rotary Club of Scottsdale to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a very special program.

 

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Bonnie Halley, Chair - This committee serves to create awareness of the many programs and projects enacted by the Rotary Club of Scottsdale that benefit our community and the lives of those in need. R.I. PUBLIC RELATIONS

REGISTRATION: Dan Hourihan, Chair - Prior to entering the regular meeting, all of our guests and visiting Rotarians are requested to register their attendance. The registrar will also provide visiting Rotarians with make-up cards that they may take back to their home clubs.

ROTARY INFORMATION: Carl Munding,Chair - This committee serves to provide orientation to new members concerning the history, obligations of membership and operations of the Rotary Club of Scottsdale and Rotary International. ROTARY INTERNATIONAL HOMEPAGE

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS: Jonathon Levin, Chair - This committee, known generally as "The Posse," serves to collect fines and Happy Bucks, distribute information and maintain order during regular club meetings.
